Lyn Hikida is
the incoming Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for MidPen Housing,
one of the largest, most trusted nonprofit developers, owners and managers of high-quality affordable housing in Northern California. Prior to MidPen, Lyn led communications for BRIDGE Housing and the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH), a national nonprofit intermediary that helps communities create housing with services to prevent and end homelessness. Previously, she worked for the Pacific Asia Travel Association in a variety of capacities, including Chief Communications Officer and Vice President-Operations, based in Bangkok, Thailand. Her professional experience also includes four years as a travel industry editor and reporter.
Lyn holds a BA in Asian Studies and English from Tufts University and is a graduate of the Radcliffe Publishing Course. In 2009, she joined the advisory council of REDF, an organization that creates job opportunities through support of social enterprises. She is an avid supporter of public schools,
a volunteer for the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Cook's Illustrated recipe tester. Lyn and her husband, Morris Dye, live in Oakland, CA and are grateful parents of two sons.
